We have heard a lot about him in Canada, from the Cabot Tower in St. John’s to the Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia. Seems he did a lot of exploring in the new world 5 years after Columbus. We even have an Italian park called Giovanni Caboto Park in Edmonton near me. He’s a big deal, but I never heard about the British connection before. Allan

Thanks Allan. I’ll be honest I never heard of Cabot before, the Columbus’ and Vespucis’ steal all the credit. I wouldn’t be ready to take my 8 year old to Africa. Still too overprotective. Good day out in Longleat

Sounds like your trip was a lot of fun. The Cabot Tower in Bristol is quite different than the one in St. John’s Newfoundland, which I have seen. Nice to see the other end of the voyage.
