Could have used your guide at that time !
A good tip for the one renting an Airbnb or such: if it’s relatively on the way, drive to France or Germany and load up your car with groceries from there ! Don’t bring alcohol though as only one bottle or two can go through the Swiss border.

Didn’t get to Geneva but I don’t doubt it’s beauty. The supermarkets were what made it manageable for us, without them our budget would have been blown. I’ll be back, and hope you will be too.

It wasn’t as bad as I expected either. It could have been, pizzas for 40 Swiss Francs was a bit intimidating and the trains were madness. But like yourself, I would go back in an instant. And happily live there If I won the Euromillions.
