This sounds like my kind of place, with all the things I love – luxury, history, indulgence, gourmet food, beautiful countryside/views and tall tales 🙂 We’ve stayed at Glenapp Castle and Fonab Castle in Scotland, and Amberley Castle in England, all of which we loved. We’re already talking about trying an Irish castle when the world returns to normal – I reckon you’ve found us just the place!

This castle has lots of character and interesting stories. I think you will need to make a return trip on the 7th day of the 7th month of the 7th year to see the validity of that legend.

Now that’s how to spend a weekend! The picnic with a castle view sounds great to me and I wouldn’t say no to a massage either. Just added “spending the night in an Irish Castle” to my travel bucket list 🙂

I love castles. Kilkea Castle looks like a lovely one to stay. We had planned to see many on our trip that had to be cancelled in June. Which included a stay at one in Germany.

Looks like a perfect holiday- historic & legends aplenty, scrumptious food (picnic on the castle grounds looks amazing!), relaxing massages – very romantic! Can see putting a lot of my clients in this Irish castle! Thank you for another interesting read!
