So interesting to hear about Gaeltacht! Pity it’s such a small number of people, but in any case: enough to keep the language going. Pirate queens, unusual towers, fjords and beaches all sound right up my alley. Ellie & I are planning to visit Ireland again within the next year, so might just put this on our list. Thanks also for the hiking tips via Twitter, mate. Appreciated. 🙂

Your Ireland posts never disappoint with so many gorgeous places to see! I’m now adding Connemara to my list of must see in Ireland. I love how there are more pubs than people in Clifden! Lol. That’s my kind of town. I’d especially enjoy seeing the castles, Kylemore Abbey and the stunning scenery. Great information and tips John!

What a great write up. Kylemore Abbey looks stunning . I remember taking the wife for morning tea at Ashford Castle for our anniversary nearly had to take a loan out, but was well worth it. Cant wait to take the kids out west.

The photos from Sky Road pretty much sums up everything I imagined for the Connemara, but looks like there is much more to it. Plus now I am imaging dinner with Ronald Regan, John Lennon, Brad Pitt, and King George V at the Ashford Castle. That would be an interesting evening….
