Probably shouldn’t have read this on an empty stomach! Lunchtime can’t come quickly enough, really appreciate all the hard work you had to do to collate this list though 😉
The joke was also very good – wasn’t anticipating the punchline but it did make me chuckle.

I agree that sandwiches have come a long way in the past decade. The Lovely Food Co brisket would be my first stop but who can resist a Doner Kebab. Yum.

Only an Irish man could tell that joke! I actually thought the punchline was going to be that Paddy got to eat the ham and the jam that the first two left behind. Hey ho, what do I know! Seriously though these sandwiches are all amaaazing. I could eat all of them (not in one go!) and my mouth is watering just reading about them. Who knew sandwiches could be so imaginative!

Another fun, informed post and I’m glad you’ve ventured into the foodie world! These are all tempting – I wouldn’t know where to start. I cannot wait until travel is possible and I can come try these out for myself. Not that my first trip to Dublin should be focused on sandwiches but I’ll give it a go.

This post… these are the posts that I just slowly make my way through. Nothing beats a good food post and this is amazing! I can’t wait to get back to Dublin and crush some of these!! That meatball, the New Yorker and the Buttermilk Chicken are on my must-eats already!

Love the joke at the end. Lots of good choices from the states too. Who would’ve thought you can get Cajun, Tex-Mex, Cuban, and southern style buttermilk chicken in Dublin? I’m with you, but jealous though, having the Reuben at the top.

You know me…Always love a great food post. I’ve long been a fan of falafel sandwiches so glad you’re on the bandwagon now. Based on your excellent descriptions the Hush Rathmines would be my first choice when I get to Dublin.
